The continental breakfast offered plenty of options, and all the food was sourced locally. I chose this hotel for its ideal location, conveniently situated near beautiful hiking trails, scenic views, as well as a variety of restaurants and shops.

This was a very quaint hotel. It is a perfect place if you enjoy more of a 'bed & breakfast' inn-like experience (rather than a major hotel or resort experience). The staff was very friendly and made you feel like you were a guest in their home. Large, clean rooms.
If you are accustomed to staying at larger, higher-end hotels and getting the full 'brand experience', this may be a bit dissapointing. My previous location before stopping here was the Ritz in San Francisco. The two locations are worlds apart. Again, the staff couldn't be nicer and the rooms were large and clean, but the facility did have a city 'grit' to it. This is a solid 3 star experience. But if you were expecting a 4- or 5- star stay, you may be dissapointed.

location, relaxed friendly atmosphere, had all the facilities we wanted. mostly we like santa barbara and it is very close to State Street with all the shops/restaurants and 10-15 minute walk to the beach
I would rate it a 4-start not a 5-star which is fine. we do both. i would say it was priced at the high end of the 4-star range

Very charming small hotel in a good location in Santa Barbara. Liked the spanish design, loved the couple people who worked at the front desk, loved the afternoon cookies, and the complimentary breakfast was good & the breakfast room was also charming and overlooked the courtyard. It was cool so we enjoyed the fireplace in the executive king room, which had a nice bathroom & very nice bedding. All in all, a wonderful stay ! Also the underground parking was convenient - and free ! Between a 5-10 minute walk to State St.
